Telefónica continues to tackle the technology market

Today we will show and analyze two in one. These are two charts showing a trend that would already be more or less clear. for a few months, even more than a year and a few.

We have been witnessing for about 5 years a movement which has been glorious for some and painful for others. However, this era is over due to the change in trend that has taken place over the past year and a half.

We are talking about a graph where we can see the Nasdaq Future compared to the evolution of our dear Telefonica.. It is well known that Telefónica has been a stock that few investors have liked in recent years.

Chart from Telefónica.

The graphs that we can see in the attached image correspond to Nasdaq Futures (the upper part) and Telefónica (the lower part). We can note that the movement that appears the first two years, from 2014 to 2016, was more or less similar.

Subsequently, at the end of 2015 and the beginning of 2016, everyone started on their own pathThe rise in the US market continued “unabated”, while something changed for the Spanish listed company. started what was a Via Crucis.

Now, then, Something had to change from the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021.because from that moment, as we can see in the graphs, Telefónica marked the lows of all these years, starting to recover positions, while the technological Nasdaq, although it continued to rise in principle, no longer did so with the joy that years ago.

From here we can already see what happened this year, what we have seen for many months now, something good for the Spanish market, something good for Telefónica.. It’s very simple because, while the US market continues to suffer, Telefónica is recovering.

Obviously, no one knows where either will go. However, it seems clear that, for now, the prevailing trends are to keep watching the US market – in this case the Nasdaq Futures – as the market continues to rally. keep losing jobsall this with her resumptions to fall, without excluding that she is in search of this upward slope. On the other hand, it is possible that Telefonica will continue to recover positions looking for the red line marked above.

Occasionally, but it’s something we’ve been seeing and commenting on for many months; something to keep in mind and not to lose the thread, whatever happens in the short term.
