Pixel 7 Ultra: A leak reveals the camera of Google’s alleged new flagship

Google’s Pixel 7 Ultra which is codenamed Lynx was first reported two months ago. But there have been no substantial details since then. Fortunately, a new rumor coming from Weibo and published by Digital Chat Station has just revealed new information about the smartphone.

The source suggests that Foxconn produces two smartphones unknown to Google. One of them would be the alleged Pixel 7 Ultra while the other would be Google’s first foldable smartphone. As for the Ultra model, it is said that it will be equipped with a 2K perforated screen and a ceramic casing as well as the SoC Tensor 2 which would also equip the Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro.

What’s interesting is the choice of camera sensors. Specifically, it would be a 50 MP ISOCELL GN1 main camera with a periscopic and multifocal lens. Conversely, the current Pixel 6 Pro uses a 50MP primary camera, but it’s limited to a single focal length. For now, it is still unknown if the Pixel 7 Ultra will be released. It could eventually end up as a prototype unit that will be used for testing and reference for a future device.
