Leeds president threatens ‘global deal’ if Barca don’t pay for Raphinha transfer

FC Barcelona has achieved a great coup by securing the services of Raphinha for an amount of 58 million euros. The Leeds president admits in an interview with The Athletic that he does not know how Barca were able to find these financial resources.

FC Barcelona has not counted its money since the start of the summer transfer window. While the Catalans have had financial problems for several years, they managed to snatch the services of world-class players this summer, with the arrival of Robert Lewandowski, Jules Koundé and Raphinha (25).

But how the training trained by Xavi could finance such operations. This is the question posed by Leeds president Andrea Radrizzani: “I don’t know behind the scenes, I don’t know how they suddenly found the money” he confided in an interview with The Athletic . But the boss of the English club does not intend to let himself be done in this case, and is already announcing the reprisals that will be held against the Catalans, if the latter do not settle the payment before September 2: “We will have a global affair in the media about Barcelona.”

“I don’t know how they do it”

The president of Leeds is not the only one to wonder how the Barcelonans can be so active in this transfer window. After Lewandowski’s departure, Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann shared with the press his questions about the realization of this operation: “Barcelona are the only club in the world which does not have money but which buys all the players whatever he wants. I don’t know how they do it. It’s a little weird, a little crazy.”

Remember that for the time being, Barça is unable to register its recruits. For good reason, Cadena Cope claims that La Liga has not validated the accounts presented by the formation led by Joan Laporta. To get around this, the executives could sell 24.5% of their studios, earning them around 100 million.
